Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures
- Leadership:
- Leads by example and proactively supports field technicians through direct supervision.
- Clearly defines and communicates daily goals and expectations to their field technicians.
- Promotes engagement of field technicians.
- Led company safety and quality standards by completing monthly Observations 360 assessments.
- Completes applicable investigations and reports to Area Manager.
- Implements corrective actions based on root cause analysis findings.
- Promotes corporate service standards and specifications.
- Reports daily performance to Area Manager.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Area Manager.
- Support:
- Schedules and balances daily workload for technicians.
- Processes weekly payroll, billing, and data requirements.
- Supports the field technicians’ employment life cycle: interviewing applicants, hiring, coaching, disciplining, and discharging.
- Takes appropriate measures concerning proper tracking, utilization, and maintenance of assigned assets.
- Coaching and Development:
- Mentors field technicians to improve their knowledge, skills, and professional growth.
- Teaches lean principles to continuously improve team performance.
- Leads weekly tailgate meetings: discusses safety, quality, team performance, sets weekly goals, employee recognition, and hands out supplies.
- Aids technicians in the completion of daily workload when necessary.
- Observation 360 – 1 safety risk assessment per technician each month and 3 quality audits per technician each month.
- 1 ride along per week on underperforming technicians based on performance matrix.
- 1 personal efficiency improvement initiative per month and 1 team efficiency improvement initiative per month.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college course work completion preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of utilities industry experience preferred.
- 1 year of managerial experience preferred.
- Must possess basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Obtain a Lean Six Sigma white belt and lean certificate of achievement within the first 6 months.
- The ability to analyze and interpret data is required.

Work Environment
- The job will be in the field and work is performed under all weather conditions.
- The job is primarily outdoors but may involve entering residential and commercial properties.
- This work is performed under all weather conditions.
- They may regularly be exposed to heat, cold, rain and other elements of outdoor weather.
- Working in residential, urban, suburban, and rural areas as designated by client.

Travel Requirements
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.
