Field Supervisor/Foreperson – Stayton (Siegmund Excavation & Construction)

About the role

The Field Supervisor/Foreman oversees daily operations of highway, heavy civil, utility, grade, and excavation crews. This role involves supervisory duties, assisting with general labor and equipment operation tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily work activities, job site organization, and reading of plans.
• Supervises and schedules work crews.
• Organizes job site goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Orders required supplies and materials.
• Drives to various job site locations.
• Assists with general laborer duties as needed.
• Assists with heavy equipment operation, if trained, at job site locations.
• Maintain time and materials records for daily job costing.
• May be subject to drug testing, medical exams, and physical agility testing.
• Works fluctuating schedules in or out of town.
• Be available to work on time and fit for duty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of related construction experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in typing and using a laptop or tablet.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Good organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
