What You’ll Do
- Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and implement cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion.
- Cookordinate resource utilization and ensure work conflicts are resolved between subcontractors.
- Oversee performance to ensure all work complies with specifications and regulations.
- Supervision and Crew Assistance
- Provide on-site supervision.
- Assist foremen and crews with field events and repairs as needed and be available for extended on-site support.
- Assist crews with quality control and efficiency planning.
- Tracking and Reporting
- Document project progress with detailed reports, notes, and photos.
- Maintain clear communication with project owners, architects, and the office regarding any issues or modifications.
- Help maintain accurate crews’ time for budget and payroll purposes.
- Meetings and Site Inspections
- Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and project progression meetings.
- Conduct site inspections, including reviewing asphalt conditions, and communicate with the General Contractor or Owner as necessary.
What You Need for Success
- Education: AA degree or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity, with experience in managing crews and subcontractors.
- Competencies: Expertise in asphalt and concrete construction (curbs, flat work, sub-grade remediation, base/asphalt installation, and elevation).
- Post-tension experience is a plus.
- Competencies with Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, and electronic time capture systems.
- Strong understanding of design drawings and standard installation processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), with Spanish proficiency a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively, particularly during peak seasons.
