About the Role
Coastline Oilfield Services is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee pipeline and facility construction and maintenance projects throughout the Permian basin. This position requires a disciplined, hands-on leader who can manage multiple crews, ensure safe and efficient operations, and maintain strict quality and cost control in the field. We are looking for a professional who combines technical precision with operational leadership someone who understands the work at ground level and can drive accountability from the front line to final turnover.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise day-to-day field operations across multiple job sites, ensuring work aligns with plans, schedules, and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and client representatives to plan manpower, equipment, and material needs.
- Maintain full compliance with company safety standards, OSHA, DOT, and client-specific requirements.
- Provide expert oversight and documentation for all pressure testing, hydrotesting, and mechanical integrity verification activities.
- Perform and verify pipe measurement, layout, and field takeoffs to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper fit-up.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and project specifications to guide field execution and quality control.
- Support bid estimation and project planning with accurate field input on labor, equipment, and material quantities.
- Manage and review daily job tickets, timekeeping, and material tracking to maintain cost accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Monitor project progress and communicate daily updates to management, highlighting production, quality, and schedule performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop field foremen, welders, and operators to foster a culture of ownership, safety, and high standards.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively, maintaining strong coordination between the field and office.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in oilfield, pipeline, or facility construction, with at least 2 years in a superintendent or senior foreman role.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and project specifications; must be able to read, interpret, and apply in the field.
- Proven experience with pressure testing, pipe measurement, and field verification; hands-on expertise required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent crews and complex field operations.
- Proficiency in job ticketing, cost tracking, and field documentation systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a results-driven approach.
- Bilingual English - Spanish a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Current H2S, PEC/Safeland, and other relevant safety certifications.
