Socket is seeking a skilled Field Services Technician- Tier II to deliver expert onsite installation services for residential customers, ensuring a seamless experience as they connect to Socket's fiber network. This role requires travel to various service areas and work in diverse conditions.
Location: St. Clair and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
- Perform independent installations and repairs for residential customers
- Install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems, and Wi-Fi gateways
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by being professional, friendly, and knowledgeable during all service visits
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues with accuracy and efficiency
- Install, terminate, and test network cabling, adhering to all relevant codes and standards
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including ladders and bucket trucks, in accordance with all safety protocols and DOT/OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket with professionalism in the field
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in telecommunications, installation, construction, and utility work
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable and able to work in both underground and aerial environments (e.g., climbing ladders up to 32ft and operating a bucket truck)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- Able to enter and safely operate a bucket truck with a weight limit of 300 lbs
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays
- Willingness to obtain a class E license if offered

- Knowledge of cable pulling, terminations, closet buildouts, and compliance with building and fire codes
