About The Role

The Field Service Technician III is responsible for the clean-up and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. This role involves supervising and performing labor-intensive activities, including loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, inspecting equipment, hoses, and connections, and performing confined space entry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily workflow of Field Service Technicians.
  • Lead field service technicians and perform labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions.
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager throughout the course of each project.
  • Mentor, train, and develop Field Service Technicians.
  • Operate equipment such as pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and power tools with minimal supervision, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Drive trucks and trailers as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, skid loaders, specialty vacuum equipment, and other machinery for chemical, oil, and water spill response.
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport waste to designated locations while complying with all DOT regulations.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies (e.g., tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water) and secure cargo before and during transport.
  • Remove materials from tanks, pits, or trenches using hand tools.
  • Perform cleaning duties utilizing an industrial pressure washer.
  • Develop job scope and prepare scope through site visits.
  • Run larger projects and handle hazardous jobs.
  • Complete all paperwork, permits, and use of the Field Service App.
  • Identify and uphold acceptable standards of work quality.
  • Perform final tank cleaning using pressure washers without causing surface damage.
  • Apply proper procedures for chemical handling in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead teams on small, confined space projects, maintaining clear communication with managers and onsite customers.
  • Complete required documentation, including manifests and driver logs.
  • Perform daily work involving confined space entry, mechanical tasks, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools, and other equipment as needed.
  • Represent Reworld professionally while working independently at customer sites.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Available for 24/7 on-call emergency response.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience or completion of all Technician I Reworld training.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Regional overnight travel, at-home daily, or a combination of both.
  • CDL A, B, or C License may be required depending on the equipment used.
  • Endorsement (T) Tanker or (X) Hazmat.
  • Compliance with OSHA Health and Safety Rules and completion of required training provided by Reworld.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.

Pay

The pay range for the primary location of this position is $22.60 - $30.05 USD per hour.
