Field Services Technician
About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to answer incoming calls, take messages, receive and deliver mail, mail out reports, return coolers, review chain of custodies for accuracy, scan data/documents, and assist the project management department.
- Answer incoming calls and transfer to the appropriate person or take a message
- Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate person/department
- Folding, stuffing, and mailing reports, marketing information, or other mailings
- Typing, filing, faxing, copying, and scanning of documents
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Returning coolers via FedEx
- Reviewing chain of custodies (COCs) for accuracy and filing in numerical order
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong customer/client interaction skills and experienced in client contact
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with staff, management, and clients in a professional manner
- Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Word, and other industry-specific software
- Multi-tasking ability, organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving capabilities; good time management skills
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in an office environment or similar position
Physical Demands
- The ability to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients
- Ability to sit and/or stand for 100% of an 8-hour day
- Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and other equipment
- Average vision and ability to see to read reports and operate equipment
