Field Services Foreman
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Field Services Foreman for our Bakersfield, CA office. The Foreman serves as the primary field leader and point of contact for crews, subcontractors, and clients during daily operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
About the role
Working under the direction of the Project Manager, the Field Services Foreman leads field crews, coordinates equipment and resources, and ensures work is performed safely and efficiently. Triumvirate Environmental provides leading organizations in the higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing sectors with diverse services and expertise to assist them with compliance management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise multiple types of field crews performing environmental, excavation, demolition, remediation, industrial cleaning, and construction projects.
- Conduct daily tailgate safety meetings and ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and client requirements.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to maximize productivity.
- Understand project scope, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project performance and recognize positive and negative cost impacts.
- Monitor labor hours, equipment utilization, production rates, and material usage to maximize profitability while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Identify problems early and develop solutions before they impact the project.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Ensure heavy equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Verify quality of work meets company and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, equipment inspections, production quantities, and timesheets.
- Communicate project status, delays, and issues promptly to the Project Manager.
- Interface professionally with clients, inspectors, utility representatives, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor and develop crew members while maintaining accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
- Assist with project planning, logistics, and mobilization.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment and tools.
- Support emergency response projects and travel as required.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience leading construction, environmental, or industrial service crews.
- Strong understanding of excavation, heavy equipment operations, and utility work.
- Ability to read plans, drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with tablets, smartphones, and daily reporting software.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Ability to work overtime, occasional weekends, and travel when required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
- Must participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) upon employment.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday).
- Frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste; responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior relevant industry experience.
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification.
- Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Pay
Pay Range: $35 USD - $40 USD
