About the role
To support customers with Amada Press Brakes, including installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and bending automation training. Duties may also extend to Punch Press, Shears, and other general fabricating machines, including automated material loading/unloading machines.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
- Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
- Complete daily status (service) reports and weekly expense reports.
- Communicate effectively in English; excellent customer relations and follow-through.
- Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites, including use of hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.
- Provide operation, applications, software, and part programming training to customers.
- Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
- Travel regularly within assigned territories.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and oscilloscope.
- Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Accountability and responsibility for customer service and support throughout machine ownership.
Skills
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (Mexican) is a plus.
