Responsibilities
- Mechanical Craft: Precision Assembly & Alignment
- Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
- Detailed Mechanical Inspections
- Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators) to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
- Advanced Overhauls
- Replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, gearboxes and torque critical components using specialized tooling and specs.
- Technical Testing
- Perform essential diagnostic tests using a variety of portable electronic equipment (Megger®, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO) to ensure system reliability.
- Specialized Maintenance
- Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning to ensure a professional finish.
- Safety & Collaboration
- Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a high-performing team to hit mutual project goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
- Tool Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
- Communication: Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical findings professionally.
- The "Road Warrior" Spirit: Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable record; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed for on-call field service.
- Technical Extras (Preferred): Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a significant plus.
