Job Description

• Role: Field Services Technician (Automation & Equipment Support)
• Type: Travel-Based Role | Domestic & International
• Division: Alpine Laser
• Location: Minnesota
• Compensation: $33 - $41 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Equipment: Installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot: Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues
• Support: Onsite and remote technical support with fast response times
• Train: Customers on equipment operation and best practices
• Manage: Service cases from assignment through resolution
• Document: Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
• Collaborate: Cross-functionally to improve product quality and performance
• Support: Customer visits, testing (FAT), and lab activities

What You Bring:

• Experience: 2–4 years of field service, maintenance, or technical support experience
• Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and control systems; ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings; hands-on experience with tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment; excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; effective communication and customer-facing experience
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred

Key Requirements:

• Licenses: Valid driver’s license & ability to travel internationally
• Passports: Passport eligibility (no restrictions)
• Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in industrial environments
