About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is a rapidly growing rental business in North America. We strive to be the customer's first choice in the equipment rental industry, offering a wide range of equipment including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive maintenance
• Perform diagnostics and make repairs on equipment
• Avoid downtime by working in the safest, most effective way possible

Requirements

Qualifications include:

• A high school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment)
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Skills & Abilities

You should possess:

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• The ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

• Bending
• Squatting
• Crouching
• Reaching
• Lifting 50 pounds or more
• Working indoors/outdoors as required by the job
