What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic service on Metrohm laboratory instruments at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues as needed.
- Provide technical support to customers in person, by phone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
- Document service activities and maintain service records.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal partners.
- Effectively manage and prioritize service requests across a large geographic territory.
- Attend training programs at Metrohm USA headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
Territory & Travel
- This position supports Metrohm customers throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and surrounding areas and is based in the Greenville metropolitan area.
- This is a remote, field-based position that requires regular travel within the assigned territory, including overnight travel approximately 40% of the time.
- Periodic travel outside the territory may be required to support customers and colleagues in other regions.
Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to test, diagnose, and repair technical equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or another STEM-related field.
- Laboratory experience, including familiarity with laboratory equipment and practices.
- Previous technical service, maintenance, or field service experience.
- Experience traveling for work.
Cash Compensation
- This position is also eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus, with annual earnings potential of up to $1,000.
- Actual compensation may vary based on factors including geographic location, market conditions, education, skills, experience, and other job-related qualifications.
