Job Details

• Job Title: Field Service Tech - Installation
• Travel Requirement: 80%+
• Location: Various customer facilities across the country

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Properly, timely, and efficiently install equipment and/or upgrades at a customer’s facility
• Experience using power and hand tools for assembly of large automated systems
• Work with team to assemble, move, and install sorting and conveyor system equipment, sub-assemblies, modules, and top-level machine systems, in accordance with engineering specifications and procedures
• Properly test and confirm all features and functions perform as designed on the system
• Follow proper escalation policies and procedures
• Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
• Assemble and set-up conveyor driven sortation systems
• Verify functioning and conformance to specifications using various hand and power tools to accomplish tasks at each level

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience installing or servicing material handling equipment, conveyors, or other industrial equipment
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
• Electrical installation of material handling systems
• Experience using computer, cell phone, email, Microsoft Office and Teams
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine drawings
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
• Communication skills to discuss system operations to non-technical staff and end user customers
• Keen attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to qualify for a US passport

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work minimum of 10-hour shifts
• Ability to lift, push, bend, and unload equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
