Field Service Technician II

About the Role

We’re seeking an individual to diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. You will service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications, maintaining a working knowledge of multiple product groups, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. This role involves meeting customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.

You will also maintain technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property, while providing direction to less experienced technicians. Additionally, you will resolve escalated technical and customer service-related issues for any requested territory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance to meet customer demands.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Resolve escalated technical and customer service-related issues for any requested territory.
• Comply with customer policies and protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination and other related measures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments.
• Ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for travel requirements.
• Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, including shift work and on-call rotations.
• Ability to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter their premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).

Pay

Anticipated base salary range for this role: $21.50-$30.75 hourly.
