Field Service Technician - Ft. Myers, FL

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in parking equipment, security system installations, or access automation/control who enjoy working outdoors. On-call duties are required.

Responsibilities

• On-site installation, service, and maintenance for parking and access control hardware/software in the Ft. Myers area.
• Support multiple products, including electronics, mechanical devices, and PC-based systems.
• Work with various operating systems and networking configurations.
• Provide software/hardware support to clients and other field technicians.
• Assist in installing state-of-the-art parking/revenue control and access control systems (e.g., equipment bolt-down, wiring, communications setup, configuration, and testing under a Project Manager’s direction).
• Travel obligations, including in-state and out-of-state assignments.
• Participate in compensated on-call rotations during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Electronics technical school training or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work with proprietary software, hardware communications, programming, and repair.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
• Clean driving record and ability to complete OSHA safety courses.
• SQL Server database maintenance and Microsoft Operating Systems knowledge.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills, especially with customers, and ability to collaborate in a team.
• Comfort working outdoors in varied environmental conditions.

Preferred Skills

• MS Windows software and operating systems.
• Network and/or communication systems.
• MS Network or MS A+ Certifications.
