Field Service Technician - Florida

About the role

Marine Travelift Florida is seeking a full-time field service technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining industrial equipment, particularly with hydraulic and electrical systems, and will be comfortable working at heights and performing heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Erect new equipment at customer sites and provide customer training on equipment usage and proper maintenance.
• Conduct field inspections on equipment previously purchased and provide feedback to the CustomerCare team.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports and parts lists from inspections to the CustomerCare team.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks on machines currently in service at customer sites.
• Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in maintaining industrial equipment with strong hydraulic and electrical aptitude (Parker IQAN a plus).
• Effective troubleshooting skills using proper analysis, evaluation, and diagnosis techniques.
• Experience in heavy lifting and rigging.
• Ability to work at heights safely in excess of 50 feet.
• Understanding of technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Able to travel domestically & internationally at least 75% of the time.
• A valid Drivers License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant certifications and/or licenses. A valid drivers license is required.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in Parker IQAN (optional but preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position requires 40-60 hours of work per week and frequent travel.
