About the role
Enphase Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician for a 6-month temporary assignment to support Distribution and Installation Partners. This role involves on-site support, regular travel, and responsibilities such as service, maintenance, and training.
Responsibilities
- Service Enphase (internal) PV and storage systems within the assigned territory.
- Act as a liaison between the scheduling team and homeowners to coordinate site visits and ensure alignment between Enphase Customer Support and system owners.
- Perform onsite testing and diagnostics to evaluate system performance and identify issues.
- Complete solar maintenance reports and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize standard field tools, including drills, levels, squares, tape measures, ladders, and related equipment.
- Install and route conduit, copper piping, and flexible tubing; pull and manage wiring as needed.
- Participate in regular safety training and adhere to all company safety protocols.
- Maintain tool inventory and adhere to tool management standards.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Always follow OSHA safety standards, prioritizing safety above all other considerations on job sites.
- Train and mentor team members on proper installation techniques and best practices.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, including the ability to review system designs and develop job-specific bills of materials (BOM/BOS).
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and workmanship standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical installation and service.
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be insurable.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to navigate multiple applications; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of and commitment to safety and security procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond constructively to feedback and direction.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to manage change, delays, and unexpected challenges.
- Willingness to learn and apply a variety of tools and techniques related to home improvement and electrical work.
- Positive team player who contributes to a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Commercial or residential electrical license.
- NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds of tools and equipment.
- Frequently use hands to handle, grasp, and reach.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ascend and descend ladders as required.
- Perform work on rooftops and uneven surfaces, including at heights and in confined spaces.
- Work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions and may be exposed to electrical hazards.
Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $29 to $42 and may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
Schedule
This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits, with final compensation determined in accordance with applicable laws and internal equity.
