Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, replace/repair a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and point of sale equipment.
  • Manage various EV charger testing requirements such as torque, thermal imagery, insulation (megger), and performance reports.
  • Locate system performance issues and fix ground faults.
  • Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner, ensuring all requests are handled professionally.
  • Review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service of equipment.
  • Utilize various testing devices, hand tools, and power tools related to the job.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to provide support with new installations and upgrades.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  • One or more years’ experience working in an electrical capacity is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
  • Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
  • 24/7 on-call rotation with other techs in your area.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30-40% overnight.
  • Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR) a plus.
  • Experience with alarms a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good driving record is required.
  • Ability to travel and possessing air travel documents, e.g., REAL ID, Passport, etc.
  • Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Moderate to strenuous physical exertion, including the ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and lift/carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Work will be performed both outdoors and indoors.
