Field Service Tech 1

About the role

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment including complete machine overhauls, minor repairs, and component rebuilds.
• Order and install necessary parts to complete repairs.
• Document work orders and track progress using Anderson’s systems.
• Maintain safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year technical degree or comparable military training.
• At least 5 years of work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
• Ownership of adequate hand tools.
• Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to disassemble machines and assemble them after repairs.
• Must be able to check machine operation to ensure repairs are complete and confirm the problem is fixed.

Pay

$36.52 - $38.67 per hour.

Schedule

Hours vary based on customer needs and may require travel to different job sites within the company's service area.
