About the role

Cincinnati Incorporated is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Field Service Representative to support customers across the U.S. by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced metal fabrication machinery. If you enjoy working directly with complex systems and being the go-to expert when things need to run right, this role puts you at the center of it all. Our Field Service Technicians enjoy working hands-on with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems that comprise our metal fabrication machines. Our field service positions are home based but require an individual who is accustomed to at least 90% travel. Technicians will provide customer and product service via preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by Cincinnati Incorporated. Our Field Service Technicians are provided a company vehicle, paid training.
Position summary and purpose
Provide on-site customer and product service through preventative and corrective maintenance of CI metal fabrication machines, with a focus on automation systems. Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards while delivering exceptional customer support in high-travel environments.
Responsibilities
- Complete machine service for customers
- Prepare and submit documentation for efficient invoicing
- Maintain company property for safe operation and maximum life
- Efficiently manage business expenses to maximize profitability
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customers
Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles
- Strong diagnostics and technical aptitude
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to travel overnight at least 75-90%, at times
- Superb communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong PC and organizational skills
Experience required
3 years: Industrial maintenance (or related military experience), to include troubleshooting
Education preferred
Technical/other training or better

Physical Demands: This position is very active and requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing of ladders. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment can be loud occasionally. This is a high-travel position with significant overnight travel required.
