About the Role
The Field Service Manager II represents Kubota Tractor Corporation’s Service Department at independently owned Kubota dealerships within an assigned US region. The role focuses on dealer aftersales business development, technical and professional dealer personnel training, service support system management, and warranty oversight.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis, identify and resolve problems in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and guidelines.
- Coach dealers and promote all products and services offered by Kubota.
- Support the region in achieving sales and market share goals for aftersales products.
- Engage in spare parts retail inventory management processes and procedures.
- Advise and support dealers in achieving overall profitability targets.
- Maintain positive and frequent communication with the dealer’s general manager and/or principal owner.
- Enable and ensure Kubota TSC is informed and involved with all critical territory technical issues.
- Responsible for dealer performance and developing recommendations.
- Ensure maximum customer uptime through coordination with Kubota Warranty and TSC.
- Provide active leadership of the dealer’s aftersales process to achieve positive cash flows.
- Foster and empower dealers to provide proactive service and support to Kubota customers.
- Lead aftersales business performance assurance workshops.
- Lead professional service management training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 5–7 years of dealer or OEM operations experience:
- With a Bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years’ experience required.
- In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years’ experience required.
- Kubota certified in dealer business operations management (within 1 year of hire).
- Proficient understanding of profit and loss and cash flow, with the ability to educate others on these principles.
- Expert-level knowledge of retail inventory management for spare parts business.
- Advanced diagnostics and problem-solving skills applicable to any situation.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Comfortable delivering professional presentations to large groups.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time domestically and internationally.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to deliver information clearly and concisely.

Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined.
