Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

ALMACO is seeking a Remote Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position offers flexible scheduling, free health insurance, and travel opportunities throughout the US and internationally. Compensation starts at $30/hour with overtime benefits.

About the Role

This is a remote, field service position based in Nevada, IA. Candidates living near Memphis, TN are preferred. The ideal candidate enjoys independent work, travels frequently, and provides high-quality customer support.

Responsibilities

• Visit client sites for preventative maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs of agricultural equipment.
• Communicate with customers via phone and email to coordinate visits and provide remote support.
• Train and educate customers on the use of ALMACO equipment and specific machines.
• Assist engineering and quality departments in testing and developing new and modified research equipment.
• Promote sales and service of ALMACO equipment while offering excellent customer support.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and eligibility for a passport.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong mechanical skills, including experience with large machinery.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, computer systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to travel frequently and be on-call for short notice and extended periods.
