Field Service Engineer - Ultrasound

About the role

Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining ultrasound equipment at customer sites, ensuring excellent customer relations and service revenue generation. Participates in team efforts to improve processes, identify training needs, and expand technical capabilities across modalities. Travel within assigned geographic area, including occasional overnight stays and air/train travel, is required. Role involves working outside main facilities at customer locations, emphasizing field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain ultrasound equipment at customer sites
• Complete administrative tasks such as service work orders, preventative maintenance, installation documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Utilize available tools and escalation processes to diagnose and resolve electronic, mechanical, and network issues efficiently
• Collaborate in team efforts to improve processes, identify training needs, and expand technical capabilities across modalities
• Work in healthcare environments, adhering to radiation safety protocols and flexible hours

Requirements

• 1+ years in diagnostic imaging service or 3+ years in electromechanical industries (ultrasound experience preferred)
• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent (higher degrees preferred)
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, networking, and use of diagnostic tools
• Ability to meet physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements for field-based work
