About the role
The Field Service Support Engineer (FSE) is a hybrid role within the Parcel Services team, combining hands-on field service support with technical subject matter expertise based out of the Marietta, GA headquarters. This role is responsible for ensuring high system uptime, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence across Vanderlande’s installed parcel systems.
Essential Functions
- Field Operations (50%) – preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance support, including supervision of small projects and customer launch activities.
- Technical Support & SME Functions (50%) – advanced troubleshooting, escalation support, technical training, and subject matter expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting electromechanical or material handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical systems (PLCs, controls, sensors, drives)
- Mechanical systems (conveyors, motors, assemblies)
- Troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years supporting automated material handling or parcel systems.
- Experience in parcel, logistics, or material handling industries.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC diagnostics.
- Experience supervising field projects or delivering technical training.
