Field Service Engineer III

Evaluating Components and Systems

Evaluating components, subsystems, test equipment, and software.

Technical Support

Providing technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment.

Aircraft Maintenance and Testing

Supporting aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations. Deploying worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations including hostile environments.

Training and Education

Assisting in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent
• Must be able to operate as a single maintainer at either CONUS or OCONUS locations to include hostile areas

Desired Skills

• Eight plus years of experience with AFSOC, AF or DoD SIGINT/COMINT, EW, Guidance & Control or Comm/Nav systems
• Knowledge of AF and AFSOC organizational structure
• Knowledge of DoD SIGINT/COMINT employment concepts
• Familiarity with USAF, AFSOC aircraft maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
• CompTIA Security+ certified
