About the role

Under the direction of the Area Service Manager, this position develops customer satisfaction through technical repair, installation, training, operation, and maintenance of Werfen instruments and systems. The role may have a specific assigned territory or system population or may cover other assigned territories as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides highly visible customer support through on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex instruments and systems.
  • Performs routine and some non-routine technical repairs, including updates, retrofits, preventive maintenance (PMs), and product enhancements.
  • Instructs customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems.
  • Complies with all appropriate regulatory bodies (FDA, ISO, and Health Canada) mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Serves as a company liaison with customers, handling routine interaction with sales counterparts regarding customer situations, updates, and lead generation.
  • Assures financial stability and viability of territory by promoting and selling service agreements, PMs, and other services.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Area Service Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field.
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and exercise good judgment.
  • Effective communication with customers, peers, and management through oral and written presentations/reports.
  • Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including data manipulation and presentation-building.

Travel

  • Minimum 30% travel by auto within the primary assigned territory.
  • Minimum 10% travel by air for training, business meetings, or support to customers outside the primary or assigned territory.
  • International mobility is not required.

Pay

The hourly rate range for this role is $35/hr to $40/hr. Individual compensation will depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and business needs.
