Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

TRUMPF, a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees worldwide, seeks a skilled mobile service technician to join our team. Reporting from our Farmington, CT office, this position offers 100% remote work.

Responsibilities

• Travel to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair TRUMPF CNC fabricating machine tools at customer sites in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Provide high-quality technical service to customers to ensure optimal performance of sheet metal machine tools.
• Document customer machine information and technical conditions and make improvement suggestions.
• Train customers to operate and/or service machines to maximize productivity.
• Act as a TRUMPF Service ambassador, working directly with customers during installations and repairs to support their business success.

Requirements

• Hands-on problem solver with experience in electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics.
• Focused on customer service and quality.
• Technologically savvy and experienced in software and file management.
• Eager to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with CNC machine tools and related equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
