Field Service Engineer

Position Summary

North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent Field Service Engineer to join their team in Pinson, AL. This position is part of Fives North American Combustion, a subsidiary of Fives Group, known for innovative engineering, fabrication, and construction in industrial thermal processes.

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will analyze customer site situations, gather information from customers about open issues, and develop plans to address these issues. You will also be responsible for commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting various combustion systems. Additionally, you will navigate through PLC and HMI programs, make necessary program changes under supervision, identify code compliance deviations, and draft compliance letters as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer site situations and gather information about open issues
• Create plans to remedy identified opportunities
• Commission, tune, and troubleshoot a variety of combustion systems
• Navigate through PLC and HMI programs, making program changes with supervision
• Identify code compliance deviations and draft code compliance letters as required
• Assign quotes, create project folders, estimate, generate proposals, JSA's, and project books for field services
• Support external and internal sales opportunities

Requirements

• Experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and electrical system work
• Ability to read drawings and develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) for costing
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial process control or a related field, or a combination of training and experience providing equivalent skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology, or equivalent experience

Qualifications

Qualifications include a strong educational background, preferably an Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology, or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial process control or a related field, and possess the ability to troubleshoot and commission equipment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is flexible, but availability to travel up to 80% of the time is required.
