About the Opportunity

This Field Service Engineer 2 role is crucial for supporting and maintaining the organization’s medical products within a designated area. You will ensure service agreements and warranties are fulfilled while exceeding customer expectations through technical expertise and effective communication. The position directly contributes to patient care by maintaining and improving the reliability of advanced surgical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all department and organizational policies
  • Provide quarterly reviews and assessments for assigned areas
  • Document service activities, maintain records, and deliver reports
  • Complete administrative tasks within required timeframes
  • Offer technical support to end-users and internal employees
  • Conduct training sessions at various facilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, software updates, recalls, and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair products according to procedures and timelines
  • Coordinate and execute system and hardware delivery and installation
  • Follow operating room protocols and HIPAA standards
  • Manage inventory, reports, authorizations, and expense documentation
  • Maintain issued tools, vehicles, and equipment
  • Support and collaborate with organizational teams to meet goals
  • Provide feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete required training and professional development
  • Manage customer relationships, system configurations, and support training/events

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with various stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within policy guidelines
  • Residency within approximately 30 miles of the assigned territory
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required
  • Alignment with organizational values (character, capacity, energy, experience)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move heavy objects
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain vendor credentialing for operating room access
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of field service experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with electro-mechanical systems
  • Good written and oral communication
  • General computer proficiency
