About The Role We’re looking for a Field Sales Technician to join our team in a unique role that combines customer-facing sales with hands-on automotive work. You’ll represent KeyMe, engage customers, promote our services, and cut and program automotive keys on the spot. Experience cutting and programming automotive keys is a plus, but not required! We provide full training and a willingness to learn are key. A strong interest in cars or experience in the automotive industry (parts, service, or sales) is also a plus. We’ve seen success from people coming from a variety of backgrounds, including automotive, locksmith, retail, and sales. What You’ll Do Engage customers and promote KeyMe’s on-the-spot car key duplication serviceExplain our services, build trust, and close salesCut, clone, and program automotive keys, fobs, and remotes across a variety of makes and modelsTroubleshoot basic cutting and programming issuesTest keys for accuracy and functionality before handoffProvide a positive customer experience from start to finishSet up and maintain the van, equipment, tools, and inventory What We’re Looking For Outgoing, enthusiastic, and comfortable talking with customers in a fast-paced retail environmentHands-on, tech-savvy, and willing to learn new technical skillsDependable, punctual, and comfortable working independentlyHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver’s license and clean driving recordAvailable to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays. Schedule and days off may vary based on business needsAble to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsAble to travel to different worksitesMust pass a background check.
