About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Field Safety Clerk to join our on-site team in Seattle. This position is responsible for monitoring driver SOP compliance and working with the department to ensure adherence, as well as maintaining and monitoring employee safety within our buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a Ramp or Safety role.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
- Updating and maintaining all driver files
- Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
- Ensuring all State inspections, registrations, and Insurance IDs for trucks are current
- Ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
- Assisting the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and performing other clerical duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
- 2-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other computer applications
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large groups—must be flexible
- Open availability, including nights and weekends as operations require
Pay
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
