Field Representative - Insurance Inspections - St. Cloud & Brainerd, MN

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site visits at commercial business sites.
• Complete appropriate reports evaluating risk for insurance customers.
• Identify different business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, safety measures, and develop recommendations for safety and loss control.
• Professionally represent Verisk and our customers via phone, in person, and in written correspondence.
• Execute on Verisk’s data quality commitment by writing concise and informative reports to quality standards.
• Use technology, laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications proficiently.
• Apply functional math measures such as square feet, perimeter, and percentages.
• Plan and set goals effectively to maintain consistent work habits.
• Document and observe specific details and measurements, gather data, map, and travel to and from all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience in Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, Safety, or similar field.
• Preferred experience in insurance loss control, underwriting, or claims; commercial building construction, compliance, or other property inspections; fire safety, and industrial safety occupations.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology, laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications.
• Self-motivated planning and goal setting skills, resulting in effective and consistent work habits.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policies.
• Ability to assimilate, learn, and apply training material through virtual or in-person classroom, recorded media, and on-the-job field mentoring.
• Able to work in various environments and weather conditions, walk, stand, climb stairs, drive for time periods required to complete work assignments, and occasionally use ladders.
