Job Description
- Identify compliant and non-compliant freight compared to standard supplied
- Able to use technology required for EAC+ (tablet, smart phone, and laptop)
- Capture pictures of damage, shifted load, and paperwork with tablet (provided)
- Move pallets and cases to stage for photo capture of non-compliant loads
- Operate various types of material handling equipment
- Sort, repack, and label freight
- Assist fellow IA’s during the unloading process
- Basic ability to read, count, and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
- Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
- Maintains work area in a clean and hazard-free condition
Job Requirements
- 6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
- Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
- Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (ie electric pallet jack)
- Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
- Excellent customer service required
- Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
- Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
- Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
- Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
- Effective communication skills
- Safety shoes are required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Other duties as assigned
