About the Role

This field-based role requires candidates to live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. The territory covers St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO/KS; and Oklahoma City, OK.

The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as a specialized in-office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within a designated geographic territory. The FRM addresses patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, delivering expertise on coverage, reimbursement challenges, and AbbVie’s support tools.

Responsibilities

  • Educate HCPs, including bio coordinators and office staff, on AbbVie patient support programs, access and reimbursement tools, and services.
  • Provide guidance on product acquisition options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution.
  • Educate on resources and strategies to address patient access issues.
  • Offer localized expertise on national and regional payer policies, including updates on coding changes and claims submission methodology.
  • Collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and program eligibility updates.
  • Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access account teams.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with providers within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in immunology, or access and reimbursement with expertise in market access and payer account management.
  • Exceptional territory and strategic account management abilities, including process mastery, customer engagement, strategic mindset, collaboration, and market dynamics.
  • Proven leadership record within current role.
  • Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding and ability to communicate technical elements of coding and billing requirements at the National and Regional level across all settings of care, including Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D or Medicaid and associated reimbursement dynamics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the rules, regulations, and risks associated with the provision of reimbursement support services.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and collaborate with internal/external key stakeholders and lead without authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
  • Driving a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material handling equipment may be required.
