Responsibilities

• Build strong rapport with new and existing customers and suppliers at multiple levels and manage quality-related communications with them in the field.
• Support packaging innovation concepts activities and Project Alliance initiatives.
• Domestic travel including local and/or overnight up to 75%.
• Perform field surveys of finished product in the restaurants throughout assigned division to ensure all products conform to predetermined standards and specifications.
• Report survey results to a central data management system through a variety of technologies and mobile devices.
• Establish and grow relationships with partners (owner/operators, regional staff and relevant partners) and be the primary communication link for QA issues for McDonald’s Field Team and restaurants.
• Identify key partners and influencers and leverage those relationships to improve the HAVI/McD partnership.
• Attend strategic customer meetings within assigned division (ROAs, co-op meetings, etc.).
• Become our customer’s quality resource for assigned division; be a true packaging “go-to”.
• Investigate special situations and assist with product recoveries when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
• 5 years of experience in packaging.
• 5 years of food packaging or quality assurance experience.
• Broad technical background.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Field Quality experience.
• Business travel experience.
• Ability to work remotely and independently with minimal direct supervision.

Pay

Starting salary between $108,750 - $115,000.
