Position Description Position Description: We are seeking a commercial Field Project Manager/ Estimator for Operable Partitions and Accordion doors on our Walls & Ceilings team. Principal Responsibilities Works closely with the architect/engineer of the customerCoordinates scheduling, and safety effortsConducts architecture presentationsDirects value engineeringMonitors purchasingApproves and submits monthly pay requests of suppliersComplete monthly billing of projectsPartners with Project Coordinator to provide ongoing and accessible supportResponds to requests for information and presents cost adjustmentsChecks final project results, compare to estimates, and look for ways to improvePrepares project proposals/bids making sure to clearly list pricing and any special conditions or exclusions that may apply, to avoid confusion regarding the specifics of a bidAnalyzes job sites for potential problems or issues that may arise during installation and uses this information to accurately project worker productionAble to install operable partitions and in-field activities, while managing office activities Other Duties As Assigned: Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the team. Position Requirements Experience/Education Required: Experience installing operable partitionsAbility to quickly learn how to read a spec and finish schedule and transfer it to a competitive bidMust be proficient in Outlook, Word, and ExcelBluebeam knowledge preferred, but not requiredAssociate degree in construction, architectural design, or other related area of focus is preferred, but not requiredMust be organized, have attention to detail, and portray a sense of urgency related to completing duties Conditions of Employment: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.
