Description

Organizers will serve as public representatives of the campaign’s organizing efforts, working in regional teams across all facets of voter outreach. This includes but is not limited to voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer training. Organizers should be solutions-oriented, purpose driven, and excited about the unique opportunity to work with and learn from a diverse group of staff and volunteers on an impactful statewide election.

Requirements

  • No prior campaign experience necessary, though candidates with demonstrated experience in politics, policy, organizing or issue advocacy will receive preferred consideration.
  • Location: Arizona - no remote option
  • Benefits: Eligible for UnitedHealthcare medical, dental, and vision plans at no premium
  • Hrs: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle. Hours are expected to increase as we approach Election Day.
  • Status: Non-exempt
  • Travel: Little to none
  • Other: This is a full-time, union-eligible role
  • Compensation: Organizers will be paid hourly at a rate of $17/hr. Overtime is paid at 1 ½ times the hourly rate ($25.50/hr), starting after 40 hours per week worked. Employees will receive a $50 per month stipend for use of their personal cell phones, and a $25 per month stipend for use of their personal laptops/tablets. This amount will not apply if the employer provides this equipment. Employees will receive a payment of $160 per month stipend for use of their personal vehicle. If an employee is required to relocate from out of state by the employer, a one-time reimbursement of $250 will be made to the Employee to assist in offsetting relocation costs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in direct voter contact such as door knocking, phone banking, and high traffic canvassing
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers to participate in direct voter contact activities
  • Cook up volunteer events such as direct voter contact events, community events, and community service opportunities
  • Cultivate and maintain community relationships by actively participating in local events, focusing on volunteer recruitment and strengthening partnerships
  • Manage daily and weekly metrics for voter contact and volunteer recruitment, working towards multiple goals simultaneously
  • Amplify campaign messaging and engage constituents through digital and social media
  • Assist in office management and organization for regional team
