About the role
The Field Operator III will operate Sand Control and Acidizing applications for our Gulf of Mexico Pressure Pumping services. You will work closely with clients and other Baker Hughes personnel to deliver world-class service.
Responsibilities
- Operate company equipment on a marine vessel daily to deliver products, service tools, equipment, and platform services.
- Participate in rigging up equipment on location, including connecting hoses, high-pressure iron, and other components to the customer’s well head on a rig or platform.
- Independently direct equipment rig-up and rig-down without supervision.
- Operate equipment associated with pumping slurries or a combination of specialty chemicals and/or acids to complete or stimulate the well.
- Maintain all required inspection and log reports to comply with regulations and verify well data.
- Ensure maintenance is performed to prepare equipment for job requirements.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Core Values.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- Mechanical ability and aptitude.
- Ability to work offshore and on a mobile vessel.
- Ability to work a 14/14 schedule.
- Travel 50% or more.

- Valid work authorization in the country of employment; employer is unable to sponsor work authorization for this role.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience running sand control and acidizing equipment of increasing complexity in the Pressure Pumping Group.
- At least 2 to 3 years or more of Pressure Pumping experience (land or offshore), specific to sand control and acidizing.
- General knowledge of surface equipment and chemicals.
- Competency with volumetric and composition calculations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
