Field Operator

Kinetik is strategically located in the heart of the Delaware Basin in the Permian, one of the fastest growing areas for oil and gas development in the world. We provide gathering, compression, processing, transportation, and water management services required to bring natural gas, natural gas liquids, and crude oil to market. Schedule

• 10 days on; 4 days off
• Available as needed for overtime and call-outs based on business necessity

Responsibilities

• Report and maintain assigned facilities, performing other activities as required by management
• Maintain motor vehicle in good working order and clean
• Maintain and monitor an oil LACT unit
• Operate a centrifuge to obtain a representative BS&W sample
• Wear required PPE per company policy at all times
• Take readings of inlet, outlet, and fuel meters
• Keep the station clean
• Change filters on Dehydrators
• Monitor and adjust Fuel Conditioners
• Gauge Product Tanks and prepare them for Sales
• Call in for H₂O hauling
• Call in for Condensate hauling
• Clean Slug Catcher Y-Strainers
• Monitor Chemical Storage Tanks (Methanol and Glycol)
• Monitor for H₂S with Drager and with H₂S analyzer
• Visual inspection of Compressors for coolant, gas, and oil leaks
• Maintain an inventory of assorted filters in storage
• Monitor and maintain ROW signs; know your area
• Perform tasks in a safe, timely, and responsible manner
• Communicate with fellow co-workers, plant personnel, and management
• Assist with line locations
• Attend all scheduled safety meetings
• Provide support to co-workers
• Perform minor equipment repairs as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous pipeline or compressor experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Possess and maintain a valid driver license with a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
• Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and proficiency in computer applications

Working Conditions

• Daily driving in various weather conditions to different locations
• Working outdoors in adverse and/or extreme weather conditions
• Exposure to temperature extremes due to weather and operating equipment
• Frequent loud noises
• Working in areas where hazardous materials require prolonged wearing of PPE
• Working in close quarters while kneeling, sitting, squatting, standing, or lying down while holding tools and/or equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance
• Work effectively in all noted working conditions
• Use physical force to lift, push, pull, and hold equipment and tools
• Climb and work at various heights; may work in standing, sitting, lying down, crouched, or kneeling positions
• Routinely react to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions
• Regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level, and carry/lift up to 55 lbs
