Major Duties
- Participates in the installation, maintenance and repair of the water distribution system and reservoir infrastructure.
- Locates underground water lines.
- Provides service to customers in the field.
- Participates in meter reading operations.
- Inspection of water infrastructure.
- Responds to after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
- Possession of an appropriate state-certified water distribution operator’s certification.
- Completion of approved Water Utility Inspector training.
- Proficient forklift operator.
- Possession of valid Class B commercial driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain GSWCC Level 1A Fundamentals certification - Blue Card.
Starting Salary
