Field Operations Supervisor - Night Shift

About the role

Coordinates all onsite activities at client location related to the storage, transportation, and disposal of waste and other related services following federal, state, and local regulations. Manages and plans activities of onsite personnel. Serves as liaison between client and vendors regarding service issues. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for transportation of waste from client site including scheduling, manifesting, tracking, and loading materials.
• Responsible for safe sorting and baling of materials.
• Manage hourly personnel including hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary action.
• Coordinate shift assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain and exceed customer expectations.
• Operate site-specific equipment (forklifts, baler, etc.).
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business, or related field or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification required if project site responsibilities include the management of hazardous waste.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive and requires strict compliance with all safety rules and protocols. The successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing, in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Pay

The expected base pay for this on-site position is $60,000 annually. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
