Field Operations Specialist

About the role

Under direction of the Capital Projects Director, the Capital Projects Field Operations Specialist performs daily on-site field observations of municipal infrastructure and facility construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards. This role requires extensive field activity, regular coordination with the assigned Capital Projects Project Manager, contractors, designers, project teams, and stakeholders, and proactive communication from design through project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site field observations of horizontal and vertical Capital Projects for plan, specifications, codes and safety/environmental standards.
• Monitor and track installation for water, sewer, drainage, roadways, utilities, parks, and public facilities construction projects.
• Provide technical support including research, utility coordination, cost estimate review, and design and construction standard updates.
