Field Operations HV Technician Leader - Kansas
About the role
This position provides daily supervision and decision-making of tasks for various levels of HV Technicians in their work in the areas of field operations, collection system construction and maintenance, transmission maintenance, substation maintenance, engineering, and troubleshooting support. This position provides field project planning, leadership and management, and contract coordinator oversight within the fleet with minimal supervision while ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to the power grid. This position is a technical resource to lower level technicians providing technical guidance and support.
Responsibilities
- Executes the daily task assignments and decision-making relevant to those specific tasks of self and direct reports
- Works independently in leading the decisions and execution of daily tasks of self and direct reports with appropriate supervision
- Plans, assigns and executes assignments with appropriate oversite by HV Manager
- Performs and completes assigned Maximo Work tasks with cross-functional assets, resources, and supervision
- Led in quality initiatives while learning and utilizing NEE quality tools
- Provides technical assistance and training to direct reports and lower-level technicians in their assignments and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Participates in collaborative teams with minimal supervision
- Maintains adherence to NEE Safety Culture, policies, and processes while meeting all safety targets
- Maintains compliance and non-compliance maintenance schedules under minimum supervision to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, and market requirements
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 8+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
