Patients are at the center of our business strategies. The Nurse Educator Program is an educational-based program designed as a resource for patients living with chronic diseases who have been prescribed specific medications. Nurse Educators provide education about disease treatments and resources to help patients better manage their condition and prescribed medication.

About the role

Nurse Educators are responsible for one-on-one communications with patients via in-person visits, telephone, video platforms, email, and SMS—strictly following program guidelines. Since the program is strictly educational, Nurse Educators do not provide medical advice or work clinically.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate connections between patients and program-approved, patient-based resources.
  • Provide direct educational training to patients on specific disease states and assigned medication.
  • Support multiple disease states and medications as needed.
  • Deliver patient-focused education to promote behavioral change, empowering patients to improve treatment compliance.
  • Foster appropriate dialogue between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrate schedule flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
  • Travel up to 70-80%, including flights and overnights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • RN licensure required in state of residency—compact multi-state license accepted where available.
  • Current nursing license in good standing; ability to obtain California RN license if residing in Mountain or Pacific time zone.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in healthcare, including hospital, home health, pharmaceutical, or biotech settings.
  • Direct patient interaction with a focus on persistence and compliance.
  • Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must live in the designated territory as determined by the business.
  • Dedicated home workspace.
  • Duties may require compliance with client vaccination requirements for on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Nurse educator experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Demonstrated time management, planning, and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Effective presentation skills; ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) skills with cross-functional and independent work capabilities.
  • Ability to develop, follow, and execute plans in an independent environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills both internally and externally.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPad technology.
  • BSN degree preferred.

Pay

The potential base pay range for this role is $115,000–$120,000 annually. Actual base pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and a range of health, welfare, and other benefits may also be offered.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
