About the role
Max Distributing is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to support convenience store accounts throughout the Charleston area. This role involves visiting stores, merchandising products, and managing your own route independently.
Responsibilities
- Visit convenience store accounts throughout your assigned territory
- Merchandise and stock products to maximize product visibility and sales
- Build attractive displays and maintain shelf organization
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders when needed
- Complete invoicing, reporting, and route documentation
- Develop positive relationships with store managers and employees
- Manage your route efficiently while working independently
- Represent Max Distributing professionally in every account
Requirements
- Retail, merchandising, customer service, delivery, hospitality, sales, route, or account management experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Organized with strong time-management abilities
- Comfortable using mobile apps and basic technology
- Ability to lift, stock, and merchandise products throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to travel overnight at least two nights per week (expenses paid by Max Distributing)
