Essential Functions

Cares and maintains company machines/equipment and ensures co-workers are doing the same.
Diagnoses and performs designated repairs on company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Maintains necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications.
Follows all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Follows directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.

Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This is a field based role. Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Physical Demands

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position will occasionally require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

To other projects will be required.

Required Education and Experience

  • 2-4 years of heavy equipment or other related technical experience
  • Basic welding and fabrication experience
  • Knowledge in automotive A/C and the ability to troubleshoot/repair
  • Adheres to OSHA safety protocol, and works in a drug-free environment
  • Reliable/have reliable transportation

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Trade School graduate, or other technical certifications in heavy equipment/truck

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
