Field Mechanic - Heavy Civil Construction
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly and disassembly of cranes at various job sites.
- Perform rigging and signaling duties to ensure safe operations.
- Operate and maintain barge-based cranes and related marine equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required by McMillen’s operational needs.
- Perform maintenance and repair on various types of equipment including, boats, and cranes.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with crane erection, rigging, signaling, or barge operations preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various jobsites in the area.
- Teachable attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
- Must be safety-conscious and dependable.
Physical Demands
- Seldom required to sit.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Compensation Package
Pay Range: $45-$50 per hour; DOE

Schedule
The position is based out of the Boise Yard and requires travel to project sites throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Idaho. Between assignments, the designated yard in Boise serves as the employee’s primary hub location.
