Responsibilities

  • Maintain aircraft to ensure airworthy condition.
  • Perform all assigned work in accordance with company maintenance procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure airworthiness, promptly identifying and reporting any maintenance discrepancies or safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain all log books and forms recording the work performed to FAA and CHI standards.
  • Gain access to all portions of aircraft for maintenance and inspection purposes.
  • Give on-the-job training to other employees.
  • Perform maintenance on ground support equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles.
  • Perform tasks such as crawling under, working overhead, and climbing onto the top of the helicopter.
  • Lift aircraft components and support equipment.
  • Travel with assigned aircraft and crew to various states.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe License & valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural repair experience, preferably on BV 107-II and/or BV 234 type aircraft.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Thorough knowledge of in-depth structural repairs.
  • Proficient with aircraft structural repair manuals.
  • Familiarity with FAR part 135 maintenance program requirements (CAMP).
  • Familiarity with FAR part 43 Major/Minor determination repair criteria.
  • Proficiency with structural repair tools, including rivet guns & sets, drills, shavers, shrinker-stretcher, machines, sheet metal brakes, paint equipment, presses, & etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, create focus in areas of poor scope definition or where there are issues, and be solution oriented but committed to consistency and process.
  • Ability to perform quality work in austere environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities and abilities.
  • Meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person.
