Field Manager - Othello
About The Role
The Field Department Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of potato agricultural operations and supply activities at the Othello, Washington, plant site. This role drives regional agricultural strategy by building strong partnerships with growers, ensuring a reliable and high-quality raw material supply, and supporting McCain’s growth objectives. The Field Department Manager also plays a key leadership role in advancing digital transformation initiatives and fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and promote world-class safety programs through regional best practices
- Build and strengthen grower relationships to expand potato supply across the region
- Partner with Potato Supply Management on market intelligence, risk assessment, and raw material planning
- Ensure daily raw material supply aligns with operational requirements at plant sites
- Manage, develop, and lead the local field department team
- Develop and execute annual cost savings and contracting strategies using production cost models
- Support new variety development initiatives to optimize potato quality and improve yields
- Manage fiscal year departmental budgets and resource allocation
- Drive initiatives that enhance raw material value, operational efficiency, and product quality
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in agriculture, manufacturing, and/or quality
- Experience developing and managing grower partnerships in a growth-focused market
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Solid commercial awareness and business acumen
- Effective negotiation and relationship management capabilities
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and across North America as needed

This role leads a team of Field Representatives and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners, including Potato Supply Management and Ag Strategy. The team is focused on delivering sustainable agricultural growth, optimizing supply, and supporting innovation across the region.

Compensation Package
$97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
